Why We Chose Plant-Powered Over Harsh Chemicals

Most cleaning products are sold on strength — the sharper the fumes, the more we're told to trust they're working. Somewhere along the way, we quietly agreed that a clean home and a safe one were two different things, and that getting one meant making peace with the other.

We didn't accept that trade. “Plant-powered” isn't a marketing word for us — it's a formulation choice. Wherever we can, we build our cleaners around naturally-derived surfactants and fragrances instead of the harshest petrochemical ingredients most cleaners default to. That's what lets our Dishwash Gel cut through grease without stripping the hands that use it every day, and lets our Floor Cleaner leave a streak-free shine without the harsh, lingering fumes that hang in the air long after you've finished mopping.

Gentle doesn't mean weak, though. Some jobs are genuinely tough, and we don't pretend otherwise — our Toilet Cleaner is formulated to cling to the bowl and lift real stains and limescale, because a home also deserves a cleaner that's honest about what it takes to do that job properly. The difference is that toughness is placed exactly where it's needed, instead of dosed into every bottle by default.

A small habit we'd recommend to anyone, with any brand: read the back of the bottle before the front. The front sells a feeling; the back tells you what you're actually bringing into your home. If a label reads like a hazard warning, that's worth noticing.
